Teaching was well-operated in the new semester

    On February 17th, the first day of the new semester, President Lv Zhongmei, Vice President Qi Laying, accompanied by the staff from Teaching Affairs Office and other related offices, inspected teaching in the new semester.

　　The results of the inspection have shown that teachers were fully prepared before the class and in a good mental state in the class, the student attendance rate is high and theatmosphere in the class is active. Text books are handed out to students before the class, teaching facilities are in good condition, teaching resources are fully used and teaching is well-operated. 

　　To ensure the order of teaching work in the new semester, the university has held a regular meeting on February 15th, deploying the preparatory work of teaching. Vice President Qi Laying, Lu Xiaocheng visited each faculty and checked the preparatory work including the distribution of text books andthe test of teaching facilities, and they also visited library and canteens and other places.

　　Qi Laying addressed that the quality was the eternal theme of education. The university should focus on the construction, reform and management of teaching, earnestly implement each part of the preparatory work, ensure a good start of the new semester and therefore constantly improve the quality of teaching.

　　Lv Zhongmei emphasized that teachers should carefully study the rules of teaching and to have a good beginning in the first class, especially the lecture introduction which should be designed to stimulate students’ interest in learning. Lv also noted that the school should insist and develop the system that senior teachers pass teaching experience on to young teachers, and improve teachers’ teaching skills and further standardize the production and the employment of teaching courseware.
