On November 1, the university held the appointment ceremony to honorary Professor Sidney gray. President Dong Shijie awarded Professor Sidney gray a letter of appointment. On October 24, he Yanxiang, the leader of the national special support plan for high-level talents, was appointed as the distinguished professor who has been issued the letter of appointment by Vice President Lu Xiaocheng.
Dong Shijie expressed sincere welcome and thanks to Professor Sidney gray for his contribution to the university. He pointed out that the internationalization of a university cannot be achieved without the internationalization of students, teaching, scientific research and faculty. He hoped that professor Sidney Gray could make use of abundant resources to facilitate the cultivation of talents, scientific research and discipline building of our university.
Professor Sidney gray expressed his gratitude of being recognized as honorary professor of the university. He said that he will actively strengthen exchanges and cooperation with school teachers in future work, share exchanges, research and progress, actively build a platform for foreign exchanges for the university, and make contributions to the internationalization and high-quality development of the university.
