Students won first prize in 2019 international BIM competition of "smart construction China"

Recently, the results of the 2019 smart construction China international BIM competition were announced, and two teams of our university won the first and second prizes respectively.

  

The competition is directed by the Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development of Guangdong Province, hosted by the Urban Architecture Society of Guangdong Province and supported by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). It aims to promote the in-depth application of BIM technology in all fields of architecture and accelerate the integration of new technology in the construction industry with international standards.

  

A total of 533 entries were received in the competition, covering various types of buildings and BIM applications at various stages. After preliminary round, review and defense, 102 projects entered the final round. Two teams from our university, with student members of Ye Zhiyuan, Pan Shuang, Zhou Wentao, Wang Yi and other students from the wisdom construction center of the School of Business Administration, won the first and second prizes respectively.
