From May 4^th to 7^th, Vice President Wu Xianfu led a delegation to visit the United States in Montgomery, AL at Auburn University at Montgomery. The two sides made full exchanges on the information management and information systems undergraduate professional cooperation in the project, the Confucius Institute construction and development, teacher exchanges, graduate education and other aspects, which comes to a number of consensuses and enhances mutual trust.

On the morning of May 5^th, Dr. Carl A. Stockton, President of Auburn University of Montgomery, and Dr. Mrinal Mugdh Varma, Dean of the AUM Confucius Institute, met with the delegation and expressed his affirmation of the cooperation between the two schools and the performance of 56 students in the Sino-US cooperative education program. He hopes that with the Confucius Institute as a link to develop more cooperation projects, and open the activities of the Confucius Institute to students to expand the influence of Confucius Institute, strengthen cultural exchanges.

Wu Xianfu said that the two sides have a very good basis for cooperation, to further deepen cooperation, strengthen cooperation projects publicity, open up new areas of cooperation in graduate education, and he is confident with the two sides to carry out more extensive cooperation. The delegation also held talks with the Director of the International Exchange Office and the Dean of the Confucius Institute. The two sides discussed the construction of the Confucius Institute and the composition of the members of the Council.

During the visit, Wu Xianfu and his entourage visited the Business School of Auburn University at Montgomery.  Business School Dean Dr. W.Rhea Ingram detailed the history of running a school, personnel training, cooperation projects, etc. The two sides discussed the Sino-US joint education project students studying in the United States, the situation of postgraduate education, preferential policies and so on. The two sides jointly expressed the desire to deepen the cooperation content and form of desire. Wu Xianfu and his entourage visited my school in Montgomery Auburn University to study the 56 students, learn more about their study and life in the United States, brought the school and college leaders greetings, Wu Xianfu encouraged students to complete their studies, broaden the international perspective , to improve the overall quality, and to meet the needs of society. The delegation was also invited to visit the School of Public Policy and Justice. Wu Xianfu was invited to attend the graduation ceremony of Auburn University in Montgomery in 2017 to observe the graduation ceremony of 56 students in our school cooperation project.
