Awarding Ceremony of the First Chinese and Foreign Student Photography Contest of HUBE successfully held

On November 26, 2020, the awarding ceremony of the first Chinese and Foreign Student Photography Contest of HUBE was held by the School of International Education. The theme of this photography contest is “Wuhan in Recovery”.



 

Heads attending this event include: Wang Hong, Dean of the School of International Education, Fei Chuntao, Party Secretary of the School of International Education, and Zhang Jinjun, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department. Both Chinese and foreign students actively participated in this photography contest. The students shared their view of Recovering Wuhan with their cameras, showing the vibrant Wuhan after the epidemic.

 


In this competition, the students recorded their colorful student life and the beautiful scenery, and the revitalization of Wuhan from different angles through their cameras. The judges selected ten pieces of work in the preliminary round. Through professional judges' selection and online voting on WeChat public account, we have picked out the first three prizes.


In her speech at the awarding ceremony, Dean Wang Hong stressed the significance of this photography competition which is not only to showcase photography techniques, but also to feel the story behind the those wonderful photos. In many fascinating photos, we have seen the great recovery of Wuhan, as well as the differences between Chinese and foreign cultures. Finally, she inspires students to discover the beauty around them in their lives.



The First Prize winners: Gao Jiayuan and MCHENULA CHISOMO. The second prize winners: Fei Yue, Deng Lingli, BASSOM BASSOMJORDAN AKHENATON, and the Third Prize winners: Miao Tingyu, Yin Tianle, Zhong Ting, PHIRI MAUREEN and ASONGNA ERNEST MBECHO.
