On November 7, the autumn painting exhibition of the College of Art and Design was held as scheduled, with more than 200 sketches on display. The main contents of the works are landscape, characters, sketch, watercolor, oil painting and so on.

At the beginning of the new semester, the College of Art and Design, under the guidance of its leaders, sent six professional teachers to lead the sophomore students of ten classes to Taihang Mountain, Luzheng sketching Base, and launched a two-week teaching activity on art sketching. At Luzheng sketching Base, the students inspected Zhouzhuang Water Town, Luzheng Ancient Town, Suzhou Gardens, Shanghai Museum and other places to get a taste of the art and culture of Chinese traditional houses. Taihang Mountain Sketch Base focuses on the magnificent scenery of Taihang Mountain and the scenery of mountain village. Along the way, the professional teachers carefully guide, students carefully describe, daily regular comments and analysis of the paintings, explain, analysis Painting techniques and methods of expression.

Dean Chen Yi, curator of the exhibition, said: judging from the work level of the sketch exhibition, the professional teachers have worked very hard to guide the students. They have benefited a lot from the process of going deep into the realistic sketches, and not only have they expanded their artistic horizons. Appreciate the charm of Chinese traditional culture and excellent river and mountain, enhance the cultural background, and provide creative inspiration for the later professional course study. At the same time, I also hope that students will sum up the harvest in the process of sketching actively, make up for the deficiency, continue to work hard, and get better results on the professional road.
