The Bilingual Corner Activity for Chinese and International Students

On the evening of March 12th, the first bilingual corner activity for Chinese and international students was successfully held in Room 503, Fa Shang Research Building. Bilingual Corner aims to provide a platform and opportunity for Chinese and international students to exchange languages, majors and cultures. Liu Rong, the teacher from the School of Economics and Trade, carefully planned and organized the activities, which were mainly divided into introduction, communication and activity.

The highlight is the activity link. Each student participated in the activity speaking foreign languages, which not only effectively improved the ability to use foreign languages, but also shared the cognition of foreign language, major and other culture. An international student, Jia Nan said, This kind of learning activity is very novel and I hope it can be continued in the future; Jordan, another international student, was full of praise for this activity. He wanted to continue to participate in this activity, and expressed his desire to participate in the foreign language speech contest. He also hoped that Teacher Liu Rong can guide himself to participate in the competition as his instructor.

This activity not only aroused the enthusiasm of Chinese and foreign students to learn foreign languages and understand foreign cultures, but also deepened the exchanges of their languages, professions and culture. Through the exchange, the students' oral English has been improved, and they had a deeper understanding of Chinese traditional culture knowledge and their respective majors, and enriches the extracurricular learning activities of foreign students and increases their interest in learning.
