Welcome Meeting for International Students of 2016
Was held in School of International Education (SIE)
On the morning of Sept. 14th, we held the welcome meeting for international students of 2016 in Class 521. People who attended the meeting were: the Vice-President He Huigang, the Dean and Party Secretary of SIE Wang Hong, the Vice-Dean of Teaching Affairs Office Zhang Bo, the Dean of School of Business Administration Dai Huayong, theVice-Dean of School of Journalism and Communication, course teachers Sun Xuan, Ye Huali, Hou Xianglang, and all the teachers and staffs in International Exchange & Cooperation Department and SIE.
The meeting is held by Fei Chuntao, the Vice Party Secretary of SIE. Wang Hong, the Dean of SIE, made a short opening to welcome all the international students on behalf of the entire staffs and students. The Vice-President He Huigang gave an important speech. First, Vice-President He briefly introduced the basic situation about Wuhan city and our university. Then, he raised expectations and requirements on international students: to get good professional knowledge through studying hard, to abide by the rules and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and the university, to care and help each other, to learn and make progress together.
At the meeting, international students made self-introduction one by one. The Vice-President He distributed the books of new term to international students.
After the meeting, Professor Wang Guoping made introduction about the major courses to international students.
