On May 16, the School of International Education held an extracurricular activity of learning Chinese in the J5 teaching building, in which lots of international students and three Chinese students representatives took part.

This activity is a sub-activity of a series of activities organized by the School of International Education, which aims to arouse the interest of international students in Chinese culture, to improve their ability of using Chinese, to enrich their extracurricular life and to establish friendship with Chinese Students.

The whole activity can be divided into three parts. First, every international student and Chinese student makes a self-introduction to the others, which allows them to have a primary understanding of each other and paves the way for following activities. Second, all the international students are divided into four groups to take part in a game named “Passing Chinese Sentences”. During this game, the whole classroom is surrounded by laughter. Some international students say they have learned a lot of new knowledge. Third, some volunteers of international students present two imitation show for all the students. One group imitates a TV play, while the other imitates a cartoon, and both of them give the audience a wonderful presentation. The activity is full of passion and happiness from the beginning to the ending.

This is the first sub-activity of the series activities aiming at helping international students learn Chinese and Chinese culture, which has been spoken highly of by them. Those activities can not only enrich the after-class time of international students, but also provide them various alternatives to learn Chinese, both of which will make a great contribution to their life.
