On June 5, Professor Zhou Xiao, Ph.D. Director of the Center for Chinese Studies of the University of Hawaii, was invited to give a lecture entitled "Value Bias of American Mass Media".

    Professor Zhou gave an overview of the mainstream national and local media in the United States, This paper mainly analyzes that under the true slogan of American media, In fact, the selective reporting and the game of political and economic forces behind it, This paper restores the role of mass media in American society and the media rules it follows, and taking the traditional media and social media as examples, analyzes the influence of mass media on American society, and through the common prediction errors made by the mainstream media in the US general election, expounds the methods for obtaining the real and effective big data.

    More than ten teachers of our college attended the lecture, and had a deep discussion on the relevant issues.
