Japanese Sinologist Professor Asami Yoji Wass Invited To Our School for A Lecture

On the afternoon of October 29, Professor Asami Yoji from Osaka University was invited to the school to give a lecture on "The Public and Private of the Text: A Perspective of Literature Studies in the Song Dynasty". Some teachers and students from our college attended the lecture .

Professor Asami Yoji's carried out the interpretation of the "corpus" with the passages in "Historical Records-Biography of Sima Xiangru", and analyzed the ancient Chinese texts "Public" and "Private" based on detailed historical data. And explained the issues of openness and privacy in the text through "books" and "rulers".He said that Su Shi is a typical representative of "public" and "private" in literary creation. Focusing on Su Shi's tablets, Professor Asami Yoji gave a detailed and in-depth explanation of the following seven parts, including Su Shi's essays and tablets, the separation and distinction of "books" and "rulers", sinner's literature, private texts, text secrets, emperor's perspective and poet's heart, Su Shi and "laugh".

During the communication session, the teachers of our college conducted in-depth exchanges with professor Yoji Asami on the topics of the definition of "public" and "private" and the privacy of public texts.
