On October 27 to 28, 2018 ,an academic conference , Quality development of rural tourism about Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization ,was held in Shennongjia Forest. The conference was sponsored by the Tourism Culture Branch of the Yanhuang Cultural Research Association of Hubei Province and hosted by Hubei University of Economics. Representatives of more than 40 units in Hubei Province attended the meeting.

     Professor Liu Yutang, Vice President of the Yanhuang Cultural Research Association of Hubei Province, attended the meeting and delivered a wonderful speech.Scholars have made speeches and launched discussions on Shennong culture and rural tourism, rural revitalization, rural ecological civilization construction, rural non-heritage protection and other issues. Participants expressed that they had gained a lot from the meeting.
