Hospitality Management Programme Held “Huazhu School-Enterprise Cooperation Information Session”: Build a Talent Self-Circulation, Make Dreams on Your Own

On May 12th, 2022, the Hospitality Management Programme of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management successfully held Huazhu School-Enterprise Cooperation Information Session. During the session, Ms. Shi Jing, JI HOTEL’s northwest district manager and a certified HT4 lecturer of Huazhu Group, gave a lecture to share with students the details of the order-oriented talent cultivation project and program of the recent school-enterprise cooperation between Hospitality Management Programme and Huazhu Group, and answered their questions on the spot.

This program is specially designed on the basis of JI Class’ teaching plan of the Hubei University of Economics, according to the business situation of JI HOTEL, the current training system of “talent self-circulation,” and students’ ability level, and following the law of human ability growth and development. The program progresses in accordance with JI HOTEL’s job sequence and organizational career path, covering content that includes ability training, performance management, and promotion assessment of “the junior receptionist - the senior receptionist - the service manager assistant - the manager” career growth path. It can enhance the practical ability training in the teaching plan of JI class, gratify the requirements for employee’s ability and performance at all levels of positions of JI HOTEL, and meet the needs of students’ ability training and career development.

At the same time, the session also answered students’ questions about this program, which made the talent cultivation plan more substantive. Students in Programme of Hospitality Management also had a more specific schedule for their future careers. Maintaining close communication and contact with the industry is necessary to ensure and guarantee the continuous improvement of the teaching level and practical ability of the Hospitality Management Programme in our school. The steady progress of this school-enterprise project is a good example of information sharing and value sharing between universities and industries.
