At 14:00 on May 24th, 2022, the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management held the “Mid-Term Internship (Wuhan Happy Valley) Information Session for Class 2019 Students in Programme of Tourism Management.” The lecture was delivered by Tang Nan, Wuhan Happy Valley’s HR director, and Xiong Na, the HR manager. Mao Yan, the vice dean, Dr. Chen Qiao, head of Tourism Management Programme, and all students from Class 1941 and Class 1942 of Tourism Management Programme attended the lecture.
Before the lecture, Vice Dean Mao Yan and Dr. Chen Qiao elaborated on internship arrangements, employment situation, the entrance examination of our school for postgraduate study in 2021, and the matters needing attention in the internship, etc., to cheer up the students and hope that they would cherish the opportunity to steel themselves and grow in the internship positions.
Then, Xiong Na, HR manager of Wuhan Happy Valley Human Resources Department, initiated students of internship positions, accommodation conditions, salary and other information in detail, and then introduced the history of OCT Group and Happy Valley, entertainment facilities, festival activities, promotion, and other sides of Happy Valley. She hoped students would work in Happy Valley after the internship. The introduction contained a Q&A session in which students were sent gifts from Happy Valley.
What followed the information session was the internship interview for students of Class 19 in Programme of Tourism Management.
This internship helped improve the practical ability of students in Programme of Tourism Management, strengthen the combination of theory and practice, and was also an important embodiment of our college’s emphasis on the quality of talent cultivation.
