At 14:30 p.m. on July 27th, 2022, Alastair M. Morrison, a distinguished professor of our school and a tenured professor of Purdue University, was invited to deliver a lecture titled: What are the top SSCI journals in tourism and hospitality recently Published? Chaired by Vice Dean Mao Yan, Professor Morrison combined his own research in recent years with several aspects - “What are the top ten journals in the field of tourism?” “Why should we care what they publish?” “What subjects can we see in their most recent posts?” “What can we learn from them?” - and sort out the current hot topics in the field of tourism research so as to provide new ideas for our teachers to write papers and apply for projects.
After the lecture, Vice Dean Mao Yan, Associate Professor Pan Shulan, Associate Professor Gao Yan, Dr. Dong Qian, Dr. Chen Qiao, Dr. Wang Xiaoqian, and others had in-depth discussions and full communication with Professor Morrison on English paper selection, journal selection, registration, and submission, respectively.
Professor Morrison’s lecture content was well-organized and targeted. Our teachers benefited a lot from the lecture, and some said that they had a clearer understanding and clearer goals for writing high-level English papers.
