Lu Yongliang and Zou Zhiping's skill master studios in our school help Wuhan epidemic prevention work

Lu Yongliang's provincial skill master studio and Zou Zhiping's national skill master studio of Hubei University of Economics face severe coronavirus epidemic, actively respond to the call of the provincial and municipal governments, give full play to the industrial and professional advantages of the master studios, take the initiative to assume social responsibility, and actively participate in the epidemic prevention work in Wuhan in various ways, contributing to the victory of epidemic prevention and control.

 

On January 24, 2020, under the leadership of the Provincial Cuisine Hotel Industry Association, the Chef Committee of Hubei Cuisine Hotel Industry Association began to set up Hubei Cooking Volunteer Team Against Pneumonia in novel coronavirus. The two master studios in our school have shouldered heavy burdens and set up a volunteer team led by Master Lu Yongliang and Master Zou Zhiping and composed of volunteers from the cooking industry. After the news was reprinted on the website of China Cuisine Association and several media, more than 1,000 culinary workers from Wuhan and all over the country signed up in just 3 days. Considering the traffic and safety problems of volunteers, 30 volunteers who stayed in Han were selected to provide free lunch boxes for front-line medical staff every day. The Grand Mercure Gezhouba Hotel, where Dong Xinzhou, a member of Zou Zhiping's national skill master studio, works, is located in Qiaokou District, Wuhan, and is an enterprise that provides logistics support for the epidemic situation in pulmonary hospital, Wuhan. Dong Xinzhou learned that front-line medical staff have been eating lunch as their staple food for many days, and they really want some fruits, milk and bread to supplement their energy. After learning about this situation, Lu Yongliang and Zou Zhiping immediately organized the cooks in the studio in Han to work overtime to make bread, and used the cash donated by the studio members of more than 110,000 yuan. Under the guidance of Wuhan Charity Federation, they ordered milk, fruits and other foods from Metro, and delivered the first batch of materials to pulmonary hospital in Wuhan on the afternoon of February 1.

 

In order to support the epidemic prevention work in Wuhan to the greatest extent, Lu Yongliang and Zou Zhiping also launched national culinary colleagues and catering enterprises to carry out donation activities against novel coronavirus. At present, the materials that are going through the donation process of Wuhan Charity Federation are worth 1.5 million yuan, and another 500,000 yuan in cash donations will be received one after another.  At the same time, Master Zou Zhiping's Studio actively responded to the advocacy campaign of Cherish Nature and Refuse to Cook Game of China Cuisine Association, and publicized the harm of game among the employees in the cooking industry in the province, and actively advocated refusing to cook game. During the heavy anti-epidemic work, Zou Zhiping also participated in the research and development of Homestay Learning to Be Master Nutrition Recipe organized by China Cuisine Association. At present, eight home-cooked dishes, such as lotus root sparerib soup and shredded radish boiled crucian carp, have been released through WeChat public account of China Cuisine Association, providing nutritious, delicious and healthy recipes for people living at home.  In the fight against novel coronavirus, the second branch of the faculty and staff of the School of Tourism and Hotel, Hubei University of Economics, where Lu Yongliang and Zou Zhiping's master studios are located, actively responded to the requirements of the CPC Central Committee's Notice on Strengthening Party Leadership and Providing Strong Political Guarantee for Winning Epidemic Prevention and Control, giving full play to the role of grass-roots party organizations as fighting bastions and the vanguard and exemplary role of Communist Party members, mobilizing all party members in the branch to carry forward the spirit of fearlessness and selfless dedication, and standing up in the struggle for epidemic prevention and control, so that the party flag can prevent and control the epidemic.
