From March 10 to 11, the seminar on "International Exhibition, Industry Upgrading and Transformation" was held at Shanghai Polytechnic University. It is also the opening ceremony of International Institute of Conference and Exhibition Industry. This seminar, led by Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, was co-sponsored and supported by China Conference and Exhibition Economic Research Conference, Shanghai Pudong Business Commission, Shanghai Conference and Exhibition Industry Association, China Trade Munich International Exhibition Co., Ltd., Bohua International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Xinhu International Science and Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. with the aim of strengthening exhibition colleges and universities. The government and enterprises should cooperate in many ways to promote the development of exhibition research and industrial integration, and further improve the training system of exhibition talents. At the same time, the event held the unveiling ceremony of the International Institute of Convention and Exhibition Industry. The International Institute of Convention and Exhibition Industry is an open, interactive and service platform integrating politics, industry, learning, research and utilization. It focuses on the practical problems of the development of China's exhibition industry and conducts theoretical and empirical research. The executing agency is located in Shanghai Polytechnic University. Relevant universities have set up case study centers and industrial exhibition research centers. Branches such as the International Institute of Convention and Exhibition Industry should integrate the research power of National Convention and exhibition institutions and scientific research institutions by inviting researchers to promote the development of convention and Exhibition theory and practice research, Convention and exhibition education and personnel training.
Dr. Jiang Xin was appointed as the first research fellow of the Institute, and gave the keynote speech of "Convention and Exhibition Industry and Urban Public Marketing" at the seminar.
