From November 9 to 11, 2018, the 5th National Forum on Natural Education opened in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Associate Professor Pan Shulan and Dr. Wang Xiaoqian of our hospital were invited to attend and participate in the activities as representatives of Hubei team. This forum is sponsored by the National Natural Education Network and Alibaba Charity Foundation, with the Sichuan Provincial Education Department, Sichuan Provincial Department of Ecological Environment and Sichuan Provincial Forestry and Grassland Bureau as the guiding units. The forum continues the past tradition and invites renowned international and domestic experts in natural education to hold special lectures. Under the guidance of " Global Vision and Local Action", the forum will practice the theme of " Taking Roots and Returning to Life", discuss the important and cutting-edge topics of natural education, and open 14 sub-forums on different topics to promote sharing, discussing and thinking about the ways and significance of exploring and developing natural education with Chinese characteristics. At the beginning of the conference, director Yan Shidong, deputy director of the publicity and education center of the Ministry of ecology and environment, put forward a very worthy question for the development of the natural education industry, " how to design more excellent natural education activities and courses?"? How to train more natural education professionals? How to develop and cultivate the natural education system with our local characteristics while drawing on the advanced experience of foreign counterparts has become a topic that we need to explore together at present. Later, Chen Jin, director of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chuan Wei - zhi, director of Japan's Environmental Education Forum, Steve Van Matrix, international president of the Earth Education Institute, and Li Zewu, founder and chief principal of Chengdu Waldorf School made special speeches accordingly. At the closing ceremony of the forum on the last day, Professor Lv Zhi, a professor at Peking University and founder of the Center for Landscape Conservation, will also discuss the relationship between nature and economic, cultural and lifestyle choices under the theme " Can people live in harmony with nature". The 2018 industry development survey report and the 2018 personnel training professional committee work promotion report have also been published one after another for practitioners of natural education to understand the industry development trend and the status quo of personnel training promotion. With the rise of natural education in all parts of the country, the National Forum on Natural Education has successfully held its fifth session from scratch, effectively promoting the spread and development of natural education in mainland China. At present, the institutions carrying out natural education activities all over the country are becoming more and more diversified, and they also have some local practice accumulation. From the stage of industry initiation and promotion to the beginning of calling for " orderly and benign" development and cooperative alliance, local practitioners will need more in - depth, strong, directional and landing support.
