Fang Jie, President of HBUE, Conducted Investigation in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management

On October 8th, the leaders from the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management reported their work to President Fang Jie in the conference room on the third floor of the administration building of HBUE.

 

Deng Yi, dean of the School, representing the leadership team, reported the measures taken and achievements abstained by the college in recent years in discipline and program construction, personnel training, scientific research, faculty and staff construction and other aspects, and analyzed the current developing situation, the main problems, and measures for the next step during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Professor Ma Yong, honorary dean, put forward specific suggestions on how to form the disciplinary characteristics of National park management and system innovation and Chu Cuisine innovation and development based on the new trends of tourism and catering development in China and Hubei Province.

 

President Fang Jie fully affirmed the development orientation and construction achievements of the school, and stressed that the school had achieved all-round development in recent years, and its comparative advantages had been further consolidated, and the future prospects were optimistic. She pointed out that tourism is one of the directions for the people to pursue a better life, and that the school should reshape the theoretical basis of tourism development value, attaching sufficient importance to the leverage effect of tourism, hospitality, convention and exhibition, catering and related industry, docking national policy and strategy, such as industry transformation, rural revitalization, cultural power, continuously strengthening the construction of tourism discipline connotation, further enhancing the talent training quality. President Fang emphasized that the school should encourage the core team members to play the leading role, drive the rapid and efficient growth of key members, promote the coordination of the school with other majors and other schools, and boost the school to further absorb external resources to achieve the integration of industry and education and the school-enterprise cooperation.
