(Tao Dongjie) On April 10, 2021, the Seminar on National Governance and Construction of Local Tax System and the 8th Deng Ziji Financial and Tax Academic Paper Award conference was successfully held in Hubei University of Economics. The conference is co-sponsored by China Taxation Magazine, Hubei University of Economics and Fujian Deng Ziji Education Foundation. It is co-organized by the School of Finance and Public Administration, Hubei Local Taxation Research Center and the Editorial Department of Taxation Research, China Taxation Magazine. From the state administration of taxation revenue scientific research institute, hubei province National People's Congress standing committee of the budget committee, the state administration of taxation revenue, hubei province, hubei province and Beijing university, xiamen university, central university of finance and economics, southwest university of finance and economics, at zhongnan university of economics and more than 80 experts and scholars attended the seminar.
Wen Xingsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei University of Economics, Li Wanfu, Editor-in-Chief of China Taxation Magazine, and Luo Songyuan, Executive Vice Chairman of Fujian Deng Ziji Education Foundation and Chairman of Xiamen China Investment Import and Export Co., Ltd., respectively delivered speeches on behalf of the organizer.
The 8th Deng Ziji Financial and Tax Academic Paper Award conference was presided over by Chen Shuangzhuan, deputy director of the editorial department of Tax Research. Zhao Min, Assistant to the Chairman of Fujian Deng Ziji Education Foundation and Chief Marketing Officer of Wise Technology, announced the winners of the 8th Deng Ziji Financial and Tax Academic Papers Award. Professor Feng Haibo, Department of Finance and Taxation, School of Economics, Jinan University, delivered the acceptance speech and scientific research experience on behalf of the winning authors.
Li Wanfu, Editor-in-Chief of China Taxation Magazine; Xu Jianguo, Distinguished Professor of Hubei University of Economics; Liu Yi, Counselor of the State Council and Director of the Department of Finance, School of Economics, Peking University; Liu Rong, Dean of the School of Finance and Taxation, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics; Bai Yanfeng, Dean of the School of Finance and Taxation, Central University of Finance and Economics; Professor Ye Qing, Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial Bureau of Statistics, and Professor Xue Gang, Deputy Director of School of Finance and Taxation of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law attended the seminar and delivered a keynote speech.
The afternoon session was divided into three parallel sub-forums. At the seminar, all the experts and scholars spoke freely, expressed their opinions and exchanged experiences. They put forward many targeted and forward-looking suggestions for further reform and improvement of China's local tax system and the establishment of a more scientific, fair and standardized modern tax system, and dedicated a strong academic feast.
