(Correspondent: Shen Jie Wang Jiayi) On November 19, 2023, Shen Jie, a teacher from our school, led four students from the Department of Public Administration, Qi Xinran, Wang Jiayi, Chen Jinsong and Liu Yujie, to attend the fourth workshop on Understanding Public Policy sponsored by Central China Normal University. The workshop aims to provide a platform for the exchange of public policy theory and practice, promote the deepening of public policy research with Chinese characteristics, and jointly discuss the development trend, innovative practice and strategies to meet challenges of Chinese public policy.

      This workshop is divided into sub-forums such as policy formulation, policy implementation, policy innovation, policy change, behavioral public policy, environmental policy, policy diffusion and policy pilot. Students from our school participated in two sub-forums: policy implementation and policy pilot.

 Participating in this workshop has broadened students' understanding of the development of public management discipline and deepened their understanding of the actual operation mechanism of public policy in China. Students feel that they have gained a lot, not only knowing many interesting research topics, but also improving their understanding of the topic selection and writing ideas of the thesis. Students said that they will make full use of what they have learned, observe the society, enhance their awareness of problems, and constantly improve their ability to find and solve problems in their future study and work.
