Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of 2021 national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction points, the school of Journalism has been approved as national first-class undergraduate major construction points. This is a new breakthrough and an important milestone in the professional construction of our college.

 Journalism is a key supported major of our university. In 2014, it was selected into the project of Hubei Strategic Emerging Industries Plan, and it is the only major selected into the plan by journalism among universities in hubei Province. Since the first enrollment in 2006, relying on the university's advantages in economic management, our college has set up journalism (media Operation and Management), Network journalism, Network and new Media, new media advertising and other undergraduate majors. Since the first class of students graduated in 2010, the employment rate of all graduates has ranked the top of our university, and the quality of talent cultivation has been highly recognized by the society.
