The programmes of Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, MICE Management, and Culinary and Nutrition Education of STHM all serve the people to create a better life, focusing on the sustainable development of the people and the environment in the tourism industry while promoting the inclusive and sustainable industrial development . 

 

Goals for Talent Training 

Cultivate “application-oriented, innovative, and well-rounded” talents with moral standards

Having moral standards guides students to highlight the green development, vulnerable groups, and ethnic minorities.

Cultivating Application-oriented talents refers to emphasize the students’ management skills in the tourism, hospitality, and exhibition industries, as well as the basic service skills. This involves the abilities of decision-making, organizing, planing, and leadership, which based on understanding the needs of customer and competitors, and the development trends of tourism  industry.

Training Innovative talents means focusing on developing students’ innovation ability in business philosophy and business models with the basic service skills and product innovation capability. It is a kind of management innovation ability that can adapt to the rapid changes in the internal and external environment of the organization.

Becoming well-rounded talents requires students to master not only the core curriculum of their programme, but also interdisciplinary knowledge and the ability to deal with complex issues.
