In order to further enhance the academic and technological innovation ability of our university, create a strong academic atmosphere to follow the century-old fine cultural traditions, and combine with the overall plan of the school’s celebration work, the Scientific Research Office organized lecture series, the Canglong Talent Lectures, during the university anniversary, according to the overall plan of the university anniversary. On the evening of March 14th, 2022, our school hosted the first lecture specially for the university anniversary. Professor Zhong Linsheng, director of the Office of Tourism and Socio-Cultural Geography Research from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to give an special online lecture on “Progress and Prospects of Ecotourism Research.”
Professor Zhong Linsheng elaborated on the research progress and prospect of ecotourism at home and abroad from several aspects, including the connotations and opportunities of ecotourism, the contents of international ecotourism research, the overview of Chinese ecotourism research, and the prospect of Chinese ecotourism research. Professor Zhong believes that in the future, areas like the health value of ecotourism, systematic study of ecotourism in typical areas, behavior rules and market cultivation of ecotourists, interaction and integration of ecotourism and regional culture, ecotourism management technology, and community participation are of great research significance and value.
