Teachers and students from the Exhibition Department of our college organized a delegation to visit the Chinese food E-commerce festival.

On March 28, 2019, students form classes Q1641 and Q1741 of the exhibition department of our college, led by teacher nan Wei, went to Wuhan international exhibition center to visit Liangzhilong 2019 the 7th China food e-commerce festival, and started on-site teaching of exhibition operation. Teachers Gao Qiong and Zhang Yun from the culinary department also went to inspect the exhibition from the perspective of food supply chain in the catering industry.

The food e-commerce festival is a new UFI exhibition project in 2018. The organizer is Wuhan Shihe Island Network Technology Co., Ltd. The exhibition area has exceeded 100,000 square meters (A1-A6 Pavilion and B1-B4 Pavilion), with more than 2,000 exhibitors, 30,000 kinds of exhibits and over 100,000 professional audiences. The audience for the purchase has reached a record high on the first day.

On the opening day, there were a large number of famous restaurants. This year, the food e-commerce festival was upgraded in an all-round way, and an online and offline precision category exhibition mode was launched. The organizers also organized the "National Popular Food Cooking Competition", "Food in the Future 2019 International Chinese Food Application Summit", "Food Creation List Award Ceremony" and other related supporting activities. With the opening of 15 major carnivals, including the stinky mandarin fish festival, crayfish festival, Chinese duck festival, no fish, no feast, beef festival, more than 60 brand activities have also been launched, with an endless stream of spectators.

After arriving at the venues, teachers and students of our department visited 10 venues separately and made a detailed observation of the exhibition from a professional point of view. Through comparative analysis with last year in terms of the organizer's resource integration ability, innovation of supporting activities, application of digital exhibitions, on-site service level of the exhibition, booth design and layout, exhibition area setting and planning, we learned how a gradually mature exhibition can break through itself and become a leading brand in the industry. Ms. Gao Qiong and Ms. Zhang Yun inspected the exhibition from the perspective of food supply chain in catering industry, absorbed industry information and collected a large amount of materials for professional teaching and research.

The visit enriched the professional cognition of teachers and students, provided good guidance for subsequent theoretical study and practical practice, and further strengthened the students' rational understanding of the platform effect and resource integration ability of the exhibition project.
