The inaugural meeting of the geographic tourism branch of China tourism association and the national geographic tourism (natural recreation) summit forum was held on October 12 at the international conference center of China University of Geosciences (Beijing).

At this meeting, the delegates voted through the "administrative measures for geographic tourism branch of China tourism association" and other documents, and elected the first board of directors.

In the next four years, the Georaphic Tourism Branch will focus on three major areas of work: first, the formulation of several industry standards. The second is to play the role of a think tank. The third is to create a brand of geographic tourism. Through various forms such as annual meetings, summit forums, personnel training, salons, exhibitions and exhibitions, and popularization of science on campus, all links in the geo-tourism industry chain will be opened up, creating a platform for cooperation between industry, university and research institutes, highlighting the value of the geo-tourism branch and increasing the viscosity of the branch. （10-14-2019）
