On October 28, 2019, at the invitation and organization of President Yao Xianhua and Secretary General Liu Hang of Wuhan Convention and Exhibition Industry Association, Wuhan Convention and Exhibition Education Committee held a working conference at China Optics Valley Science and Technology Convention and Exhibition Center. Jiang Xin, director of the professional committee and vice-president of our college, and Professor Cao Liu, head of the exhibition department, attended the meeting with more than 10 representatives from Hubei University, Jianghan University, Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, Wuhan Business School, Wuhan University of Industry and Commerce, Wuhan International Exhibition Center, China Optics Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Center, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Publishing House, Huazhong Talents and other institutions. Vice President Jiang Xin presided over the meeting. Professor Ma Yong, honorary president and chief expert of our college, made a speech, guiding the professional committee to do a good job of consulting special newspapers, industry training, textbook publishing, subject competition and horizontal joint "Five Ones" project, to do a good job of integrating resources of school administration, enterprises and enterprises with specific work items as the starting point, and to write a new chapter in the development of exhibition education in Wuhan. Delegates at the meeting had full exchanges on special research on industry development, curriculum construction, student competitions, professional training programs, student practice and other issues, and reached a consensus on the organizational structure and working mechanism of the professional committee. Jiang Xingsheng, general manager of China Optics Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Center, and Wang Xinsheng, a well-known master of chutian skills, shared their 10-year working experience and talked about the hope and requirements of industry development for exhibition education, providing new ideas for the work of professional committees.

At the end of the meeting, the delegates decided to focus on the following work in the coming year: 1. Carry out a survey of personnel training in exhibition education units in Hubei Province and a survey of employees' demands for on-the-job training to further clarify the future work direction. 2. Hold quarterly industry development seminars, write special reports and submit them to relevant departments to provide decision-making reference. 3. Set up a team of teachers and students to systematically collect local classic exhibition project cases and form a compilation of typical cases to provide materials for industry training and talent growth. 4. School-enterprise cooperation in the development of teaching materials to enrich and improve teaching resources. 5. Build an intercollegiate horizontal exchange platform and launch localized student skills competitions and subject competitions.(10-29-2019)
