In April 2020, five students from our college, who were directed by Teacher Liang Hui of the Department of Hotel Management, won the undergraduate group in the third Ritual Career Challenge This competition has created a record high in terms of the innovation of topic selection, the attention of the competition and the quality of the entries.
Lichaocheng Future Career Challenge (UCS) is a soft skill competition specially designed for students majoring in tourism hotel management. Since its holding, the competition has gone through two sessions, providing a stage for domestic hotel tourism majors to show themselves. Through advanced ability challenges, they can stimulate students' potential, improve their soft skills, enhance their theoretical and practical abilities, and grow into talents who lead the development of the industry. After receiving the preliminary competition notice in early November, 2019, the College attached great importance to the competition, actively organized the selection of contestants, set up teams and discussed topics. After more than four months of orderly data collection, meeting discussion, repeated revision and final finalization of the business plan, the team of Hubei University of Economics was successfully promoted. After strict examination by the judges, it stood out from 87 teams from 82 colleges and won the national third prize of the undergraduate group.
In 2018, the Golden Course put forward by Minister of Education Chen Baosheng has the evaluation criteria of once both sexes, which are high-level, innovative and challenging. Participating in the competition is to cultivate students' abilities of integrating theory with practice, solving problems and innovating, which is exactly what the golden course requires to cultivate students' higher-order abilities of analysis, evaluation and creation. In recent years, our college has adhered to the principle of promoting teaching, reform and learning through competition, fully mobilizing students' learning enthusiasm and teachers' teaching enthusiasm through competitions inside and outside the school, and leading and promoting the construction of golden course and the road of talent training through competitions. （04-27-2020）
