At the invitation of the research team of the National Park Management Office of the State Forestry and Grass Bureau, Professor Deng Yi and Associate Professor Gao Yan, heads of PI team of National Park Management and Innovation of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, went to Sichuan Giant Panda National Park on June 9-14 to conduct a legislative research on the National Park Law. The research team is led by Xiwu Zhang, former Director of Wildlife Conservation and Nature Reserve Management Department of the State Forestry Administration, and is composed of experts and scholars from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tongji University and other universities and research institutes. The research team went deep into Baoxing County, Ya 'an City, Chengdu City, Beichuan County and Mianyang City, where the Giant Panda National Park is located, and had extensive discussions and exchanges with the Giant Panda National Park Administration, local governments, industrial and mining enterprises and resident representatives. During their stay in Sichuan, the research team held 10 symposiums and conducted in-depth exchanges on the division of powers and responsibilities, natural resources management system, capital guarantee mechanism, franchise system and community development mechanism in the legislation of national parks law. The conclusions of the research team will provide important reference for the legislation of China's national park law. （06-15-2020）
