（By DONG Qian）At 2: 00 pm on Oct.22nd, the appointment ceremony of the 2020 Industry Tutor of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management was held in the Second Lecture Hall of the University Student Activity Center. Ms. CHEN Qiuping, General Manager of Hilton Wuhan Optics Valley Hotel, was hired as the Industry Tutor of Hotel Management in our college. After a brief appointment ceremony, Ms. CHEN brought a wonderful lecture on the theme of "My career is my master", and communicated face-to-face with the students on the development and career planning of the hotel industry. Liu Wei, director of human resources of Hilton Wuhan Optics Valley, and REN Xiaocui, manager of marketing communication department (graduate of hotel G0941), answered questions for students at the scene.
Prof. DENG Yi, Dean of School of Tourism and Hotel Management, and all the teachers of the Hospitality Department attended the appointment ceremony and listened to the lectures. In her lecture, General Manager MS. CHEN focused on the theme, analyzed the characteristics of the hotel industry and the professionalism of hotel professional managers in detail through his 30-year hotel career experience and the touching case of the hotel service aid medical team during the anti-epidemic period in 2020, and further defined the development direction of hotel management students and the growth path of hotel professional managers, which played a positive role in guiding the career orientation and career planning of hotel management students.
