(By ZHAO Bing) Chu Cuisine Industry Development Conference is one of the important activities of the Third Chu Cuisine Food Expo sponsored by Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce. The unveiling of Hubei Chu Cuisine Institute indicates that the study of Chu Cuisine Culture and the development of Chu Cuisine Industry in Hubei Province will have a higher new platform and enter a better new period.

Hubei Chu Cuisine Institute, formerly Hubei E Cuisine Institute, was established in the former Hubei Commercial School in February 1996 with the approval of the Provincial Department of Commerce (formerly the Provincial Department of Trade). In September 2002, Hubei Institute of Economics was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and Hubei Institute of Cuisine was retained, and gradually developed into a distinctive scientific research platform of Hubei Institute of Economics. In January 2020, the provincial government's work report clearly pointed out that it was necessary to "accelerate the innovation and development of Chu cuisine". In June 2020, the school proposed to the Provincial Department of Commerce to change the name of Hubei E Cuisine Institute to Hubei Chu Cuisine Institute, aiming to make greater contributions to promoting Chu cuisine culture, singing the brand of Chu cuisine and accelerating the innovative development of Chu cuisine.
