On February 8, 2021, Professor Su Yang, researcher of Development Research Center of the State Council and deputy editor-in-chief of Management World visited our school for an academic activity. Dean Deng Yi and Dr. Chen Lishuang lead our team of young doctors to participate in the study together.
Since he joined the Social Development Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council in 2002, Professor Su Yang has been focusing on policy research on population, resources and environment, focusing on comprehensive fields such as protected areas, environment and health. His research subjects include the reform of environment and health management system, the management system of national parks, the strategic research of resources and environment related to main function zoning, and the projects of national science and technology support plan "adaptive management technology of nature reserves", "the interaction between desertification and economic and social development", etc. After 2015, Professor Su Yang began to serve as a member of the National Park System Construction Assessment Expert Group under the National Development and Reform Commission. Therefore, this academic activity was mainly carried out around the subject application and paper writing of the PI academic team of our institute.
Professor Su Yang stressed that the topic of research projects and academic paper should be of great practical significance. "The articles should be combined with The Times", and the topic selection process should constantly strengthen the logic and repeatedly deduce and demonstrate before setting the tone. In addition, the research needs to have three elements: hot topic, exclusive data and standard style. At the same time, Professor Su Yang also gave one-on-one guidance and Q&A to the young doctors on the current fund topics and the first drafts of their theses, and put forward targeted suggestions on the topic selection, research method selection, scientific problems summary and research content writing, which benefited the young doctors a lot.
