In May 2021, the awards of the 11th National College Students' Red Tourism Creative Planning Competition were announced. The competition, with the theme of "youth pursuing the red road, staying true to the original aspiration and following the party", received entries from 3,097 teams from 597 universities. The organizing committee will judge the competition according to the seven divisions of Northeast China, North China, Northwest China, Central China, East China, South China and Southwest China, as well as six categories: route, destination, cultural creation, micro explanation, micro video and micro cartoon.
In the end, two teams from the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management won the prize. The work "Red Jigsaw Symphony Zhejiang" directed by Associate Professor Zhang Chunlin won the first prize in Central China Division of Tourism Routes, and the work "Centennial Course and Journey-Creative Design of Zhejiang Red Tourism Routes" directed by Professor Deng Zutao won the second prize in Central China Division of Tourism Routes.
