It has become an important area for the application of new technologies such as mobile Internet, and a battlefield in which domestic and foreign capitals compete against eachother. We are looking forward tothe sustainable and rapid development of China's tourism and hospitality industry. The development of high-speed railways, inter-city railways and the construction of the eco-cultural tourism circle in western Hubei have brought new opportunities and hopes to Hubei tourism and hospitality industry. In such a “forever sunrise industry”, it is full of demand, competition, and rising momentum, as well as wealth, jobs, and opportunities. Industrial development provides a good prospect for professional education and academic development in our school, and shows us the way to success of our students' future career development.
The orientation of STHM is to build a national first-class tourism management discipline, to cultivate highly-comprehensive and applied high-quality management talents and to serve the tourism industry in Hubei. Here, we have a team full of energetic and progressive teachers and first-class teaching facilities in Hubei province. We have developed a rigorous and scientific training program for each professional undergraduate education. Our undergraduate education program will inherit this concept: A deep understanding of people's needs and development is the foundation of successful tourism and hospitality management practices. Here, all teaching and scientific research activities will focus on cultivating students' specialized knowledge, professionalism, innovation awareness, and self-development ability, which meet the needs of future career development.
