Vice President Fu Hong came to School of Marxism for research

(Correspondent: Guo Zenghua) In the afternoon of September 14, Vice President Fu Hong and Director of the Academic Affairs Office Tao Qiangong came to the School of Marxism to listen to a report on the construction of the course Introduction to Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Members of the team of the School of Marxism and the director of the teaching and research department attended the briefing, and Yin Qingshan, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School of Marxism, presided over it.

Dean Zhao Jiwei made a report on the situation related to the opening and construction of the course Introduction to Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Under the care and strong support of the school, the course was opened as scheduled. The teachers took up the main work of teaching, and overcame the difficulties of the existing heavy teaching tasks to carry out collective lesson preparation, so that the course could enter the classroom and the students' minds in time. As a new course, there are still many shortcomings in the construction, but with the support and guidance of the university, the School of Marxism is confident that the course will be built according to the standards of the gold course for course content, course teaching design and course resources.

Tao Qiangong gave full recognition to the hard work and efforts put in by the college in the opening of the course Introduction to Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He pointed out that the School of Marxism is responsible, rising to problems and setting a good example for the whole university in offering new courses. While affirming the achievements, he also put forward several hopes: firstly, to study and research more; secondly, to make solid knowledge handouts as far as possible to facilitate students' learning; thirdly, to promote the follow-up of teaching papers and teaching and research projects around the construction of the course; fourthly, to make the development of practical teaching sessions more effective and distinctive.

Fu Hong pointed out that the opening of the course Introduction to Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is the fundamental need to implement the goal of establishing moral education. The School of Marxism has the responsibility and commitment to offer this course, which is incumbent upon it. The School of Marxism has also lived up to the expectations of the public by taking the responsibility on its shoulders and successfully offering this course. We need to think systematically about this course and the changes it will bring to the Civic Studies curriculum. As a course on contemporary Chinese Marxism, this course should cover not only students and teachers of the School of Marxism, but also all teachers of the university. As teachers in the School of Marxism, it is even more important to: firstly, really learn and believe and understand. The teachers of the School of Marxism should take the lead in learning, make an effort to learn, and learn the essence of the idea. Only by really learning can they really believe, can they appreciate the truth of it, and can they really understand it, and can they let their students understand the methodology and the logic of it. Secondly, we should keep up with the times and create a golden course in Civics. He pointed out that General Secretary Xi's speech is very theoretical and contemporary. This course should focus on keeping up with the times, to create a Civics Gold course, it will drive the construction and development of other Civics courses. A course is good, the course group can be good, the course can also be good. Third, we must keep the right innovation. To continue to enrich the teaching content, teaching methods, innovative forms of teaching. Fourth, we must be realistic. We must do a good job of arranging the course in the spirit of pragmatism and implement all aspects of teaching.
