School of Marxism held a seminar on the topic of curriculum thinking and politics

(Correspondent: Lv Mengxing) In order to further give play to the function of the main position and main channel of the ideological and political theory course to establish moral education, and promote the school's curriculum thinking politics and thinking politics course in the same direction, on the morning of May 14, 2022, the fourth lecture of the Marxist theory academic activity month series and the curriculum thinking politics seminar were held in the college Conference Room. The event was hosted by Tu Airong, Vice Dean of the School of Marxism, and all teachers of the School attended.

First of all, Zhao Jiwei, Dean of the School of Marxism, gave a special report on The Theory and Practice of Curriculum Civics. He gave a detailed explanation of the issues related to the construction of curriculum thinking and politics from four aspects: the evolution of curriculum thinking and politics, the meaning of curriculum thinking and politics, the current problems and countermeasures. Professor Zhao Jiwei pointed out that the most taboo for frontline teachers in the construction of curriculum thinking and politics is to superficialise (labelling), mechanise (hard integration) and vulgarise (low redness). Next, six teachers, Wang Haitao, Lv Mengxing, Zhu Baolin, Li Hongmei, Han Tingting and Ye Xinming, made presentations. Wang Haitao, Lv Mengxing and Zhu Baolin elaborated on the issues related to course thinking and politics from the perspective of teachers, the evaluation of the implementation effect of course thinking and politics, and the co-operative education mechanism between thinking and politics courses and professional courses in economics and management; Li Hongmei, Han Tingting and Ye Xinming related to their own courses Basic Principles of Marxism and Mental Health Education for College Studentsand Outline of Modern Chinese History respectively. At the end of the event, Professor Zhao Jiwei also gave a summary response to the questions raised by the teachers.

Through this seminar, the teachers of the College gained a deeper understanding of the issues related to curriculum thinking and politics. The workshop laid a good foundation for the School of Marxism to participate in the teaching reform of Curriculum Civics and further explore the collaborative education mechanism of Curriculum Civics and Civics Course.

It is reported that some teachers from other colleges of the university also participated in this activity through Tencent Conference online.
