Mr. Liu Yubin, a Shixiseng partner, was invited to deliver a lecture to ACCA students

On April 20th, Accounting School and KBFINANCIAL education institution jointly invited a Shixiseng partner named Liu Yubin to deliver an online sharing lecture on career planning and resume writing for ACCA students.

The lecture started with Mr. Liu sharing his career development experience. His major is engineering. However, he was committed to starting his career in financial venture capital area. After that, he chose to do his own business. Superficially, there is no connection between his work experience. In fact, he is constantly looking for his own niche. Relying on his advantages, he gradually accumulated practical experience and interpersonal network. His step-by-step career planning and adjustment actions have effectively helped him succeed. He built an internship recruitment platform, currently awarded the title of "Future Unicorn Enterprise", which serves more than 100 Fortune 500 companies, 300,000 enterprises, 3,000 universities and 17 million students.

Subsequently, based on the data of the Shixiseng 2020 million job-hunting users, Mr. Liu introduced the recent trend of popular job-hunting industries and companies. Considering that most of the students majored in business administration, such as accounting, financial management and auditing, he analyzed the employment direction of this major. He suggested that students should broaden their range of applications when looking for jobs. At the same time, students should seek jobs in their favorite fields.

After discussing career choice, Mr. Liu explained the purpose, content and precautions of making a resume. And he interpreted the five essential components of a resume, including "personal information", "education background", "internship", "practice" and "other". He put forward five recommendations. First, the proportion of internship content should be around 40%. Companies prefer adaptable and flexible employees. The description of the internship process should follow the framework of the "STAR Principles". Second, students should develop their strengths and circumvent their weaknesses. Third, if students have less internship experience, students can write more about their own practical experience. Fourth, "self-evaluation" is an optional part because the content is not very meaningful. Fifth, students are not allowed to write fictional information.

After the enthusiastic interaction between the students and the guests, the online sharing meeting ended successfully. ACCA students knew more information on career planning and enhanced their practical job-hunting skills. Wishing them all the best in their career.
