On April 9, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the list of major projects approved by the National Social Science Fund to study and explain the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the Party.Actively participating in and leading international cooperation research on climate change declared by Professor Yongping Sun is on the list.

Professor Yongping Sun is committed to the two cross-cutting fields of climate change economics and resource economics, focusing on carbon emissions trading and global climate governance. In recent years, he has presided over a number of national and important international cooperative scientific research projects including the NSFC, the SSFC, the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, and the British Global Prosperity Strategy Fund. He has published more than 50 papers in important domestic and foreign journals such as Economic Research, Economics, Applied Energy, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, etc. He has won many teaching and scientific research awards such as the Hubei Province Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award, Outstanding Achievement in Social Science, and Outstanding Achievement in Humanities and Social Sciences of Hubei Province Colleges and Universities.

The major projects of the SSFC are the highest-level and most authoritative national humanities and social science projects in the field of national philosophy and social sciences. Taking major theoretical issues and hot issues in my country's economic and social development as the research objects, promoting the construction of a philosophy and social science system with Chinese characteristics, and launching landmark research results with significant academic innovation value and cultural heritage significance.
