On May. 29, the students in Class 303 of the Primary School of Optics Valley  had a special science course, the “Electricity”, taught by professor ShenTian and three college students from the Dept.of Electronic Engineering of HBUE.

“What is electronic?  Where is it from? How does it make the Appliances work? ” Professor Shen explained the questions inpopularandeasy-to-understandlanguagewith the examples in daily life.  Then, three junior students, Feng Shukun, Lin Ziqiang and Deng Linmin，from the major of electronic engineering, showed their works Balancing Trolley and Light Cubes, the entries for the a brand contest of “DIY Electronic Products” held in our school. The children were excited to see these works. During the practical teaching., professor Shen taught the children build their first electronic works, Colorful Desk Lamps, hand by hand. When the beautiful lamps worked, they were so happy and joyful.

After the activities, the teachers and parents showed their thanks and hoped that more related activities could be held to enlarge children’s sight vies, knowledge and  practical ability.

The interaction between the students from the university and the primary school, not only propagates scientific knowledge and stimulates children’s interest for designing and making electronics, but also shows our students’ innovation, which is also a creation of our brand activities.
