Our school students won two second prizes in the National College Students Mathematical Contest in Modeling

The results of the 2020 National Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling were announced. Eleven student teams from our school participated, and seven of them won provincial or above awards, including two national second prizes, two provincial first prizes, two second prizes, and three frist prize.

The National College Student Mathematical Contest in Modeling is one of the nine national university disciplines funded projects jointly approved and issued by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance for the first time. one. Over 1470 colleges (campus), 45,680 teams (41826 undergraduate teams, 3854 junior college teams) and more than 130,000 people participated in the competition.

Our school has always attached great importance to the training of mathematical modeling competitions, continuously optimizing the organization, selection and guidance process, and comprehensively improving students' innovation ability and teacher guidance ability. Teacher Huang Zhendong led the teachers of the Mathematics Department of the School of Information Management and Statistics to form a team of instructors. After a long period of exploration, the stage training mode of "regular special lectures + summer concentrated intensive + special simulation guidance + pre-match sprint training" was gradually formed. Give meticulous guidance.
