The School of Information Management and Statistics currently has three first-level disciplines of management science and engineering, statistics and mathematics, and undertakes the main construction work of the “Internet + Business Big Data” direction of the “Modern Service Industry” provincial-level characteristic discipline group. In 2012, the statistics were awarded the provincial key (cultivation) disciplines in Hubei Province. In this direction, three undergraduate majors in statistics, applied statistics, and economic statistics (financial statistics) were established, and since 2014, they have been with Hubei. The university carried out the joint training of postgraduate students in applied statistics; in 2012, the management science and engineering won the school-level key disciplines, and under this direction, opened two undergraduate majors and information management and information systems in information management and information systems, e-commerce. Undergraduate cooperation in undergraduate programs (Hubei University of Economics and Montgomery University, USA); Mathematics as a general subject in the school, is currently preparing for financial mathematics; in 2016, the college launched a big data talent project. In 2014, management science and engineering, statistics were approved by Hubei Chutian scholars to set up post disciplines. Currently, there are one professor and one professor of Chutian scholars. In 2014, it was approved as one of the outstanding young and middle-aged science and technology innovation teams of Hubei Province.
