Overview

　　Of 42 full-time teachers, the School of Statistics has three professors (including an expert receiving allowance from the provincial government), 18 associated professors, 21 lecturers; 20 doctors (including 9 doctoral candidates) and 16 with master’s degrees, accounting for 85% of full-time faculty. It has three majors: Statistics, Applied Statistics and Economic Statistics (financial Statistics); three institutes and a laboratory: institutes of applied statistics, of mathematical modeling, of social economic system stimulation as well as a mathematic modeling laboratory.

　　In recent years, teachers in the School have supervised two projects of the National Nature Science Fund, over 20 projects at the provincial and ministerial levels and published over ten academic monographs (including planning materials) as well as more than 200 papers in CSSCI.

　　The School now has several college level excellent courses and high-quality courses includingStatistics,Advanced Mathematics andMarket Research, as well as two off-campus demonstration practical training bases. Its graduate employment rate is above 90%.
