Teaching activities are well operated in the new semester
The fall semester of 2014 has gotten off to an excellent start. On the morning of September 1st . Vice President Qi Laying conducted an inspection of teaching activities and campus facilities including the buildings, classrooms and laboratories. Vice President Qi was accompanied by leaders from the Teaching Affairs Department as well as academic supervisors and other related staff. The separate schools and faculties within the college also conducted their own self-inspections. The preliminary results of these inspections indicate that our teachers were fully prepared for their classes. The students were also well prepared. Students received their textbooks before the start of classes. The rate of student attendance is high with students actively participating in class. The teaching facilities were in good condition. The classroom resources were adequate to the needs of the teachers and students.
Vice President Qi gave his approval for the academic plans for the new semester. Qi also put forward his expectations for the Talents Cultivation Plan. The goals of this project are to improve the efficiency of use of school facilities and classroom resources. By doing this we hope to further develop the academic environment and ultimately to create better learning conditions for our students.
The inspections are ongoing and will continue for one week. To ensure academic standards, the Teaching Affairs Department will be working in cooperation with other relevant departments within the school in order to rectify any problems that might be found. The inspection report will also be published in the university.
Due to the difference in academic schedules, the inspection of freshmen courses will be conducted from September 15th to the 19th.
