On the afternoon of September 19, at the invitation of the international exchange and Cooperation Department, Professor Li Shumin of Zhejiang University held a lecture on the theme of cultural comparison and language application between China and the United States. This is the second time that the international exchange and cooperation Department has carried out overseas training for teachers of the whole school.
In this lecture, Li Shumin introduced the common mistakes in Chinese-English translation, and taught the teachers how to avoid Chinglish. During the lecture, there was frequent interaction and lively atmosphere.
Li Shumin, Ph.D. of Shanghai Foreign Studies University, teaches at Zhejiang University, has been teaching English and Chinese as a foreign language for more than 20 years, and has twice visited the United States to study and work. He has published many papers in academic journals such as higher education research and Shanghai science and technology translation, and published more than ten books and textbooks, simultaneous interpreting and recording English and Chinese bilingual voice materials. The conference was handed over many times and was awarded the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Award.
