The University has launched a series of online training workshop for teaching faculties for the purpose of improving their international capabilities and scientific research skills.
The first lecture of this online training workshop was held on May 14th. Vice President He Huigang attended and opened the workshop. He pointed out in his opening remarks that the University greatly values the talents building, particularly the international exchange capabilities of teaching faculties, and therefore the teachers attending the workshop should attach great importance to the online learning, enhance study abilities through converting concepts and broadening visions, and pursue the life-long study and development.
The University will continue to carry out the online workshops for teaching faculties from May, and there will be 3 sessions on May 14th, May 21st and May 28th, with the topics of “Culture shock: Myth and reality when understanding a foreign culture with a focus on British lifestyle” by Craig Young (from the U.K.), “Comparison of higher education system between China and foreign countries” by John Brennan (from Ireland), and “Critical thinking—convert traditional Chinese cultural ideas to American thoughts” by Ben Ludik (from South Africa) respectively.
