On the 22nd of November 2018, The 18th Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Development Fair International Education Cooperation Exchange Forum was held in Wuhan. President Dong Shijie was invited to attend and presented a working report entitled Implementing the International Development Strategy and Creating a New Situation for the Construction of High-level Finance and Economics Universities with distinctive features.” During the forum, President Dong Shijie had an in-depth conversation with Dr. Lawrence Abeln, President of Richmond, the American International University in London, pertaining to enhancement of collaboration and exchanges between both universities and signed a memorandum of cooperation to celebrate this memorable event.
On November 23rd, Dr. Lawrence Abeln, President of Richmond, the American International University in London and Dr. T. Dwayne McCay, President of the Florida Institute of Technology, visited our university in Hubei. President Dong Shijie, and Vice-principals He Huigang along with Chen Xiangjun welcome our guests. Later that that day our visitors attended The cooperation and exchange meeting which included all heads of the department such as Heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, the Department of Teaching Affairs, the School of Economics and Trade, the School of Information and Communication Engineering, the School of Information Management and Statistics and the School of Art and Design.
At the meeting, President Dong Shijie introduced the geographical environment, educational history, scientific research achievements, academic staff, teaching quality and discuss the ongoing international exchanges programs. Furthermore, Dr. Lawrence Abeln, and Dr. T. Dwayne McCay thanked the Hubei University of Economics for their warm hospitality and we're looking forward to furthering their engagements and opportunities as to advances their existing work scope, exchange views, ideas and thoughts related to ongoing and future academic projects and exchange programs within the Hubei University of Economic.
In conclusion, President Dong Shijie conveyed his commitment, vision and desire to extend further collaboration with both University, given specific emphasis to create, promote and develop new academic projects and exchange programs, now and into the future,that would benefit all.
