More than 80 experts and scholars from Peking University, Fudan University, East China Normal University, Jilin University, Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance), China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong, And China Social Science, People's Daily and Guangming Daily participated in the seminar. With the theme of The Century-old Party: Historical Mission, Leadership System and Governance Capability, this event retrospects the century-old struggle of the Communist Party of China, summarizes the theory and practice of the Party's leadership, governance and construction, and enhances the sense of historical mission of the Marxist political party.

Dr. Xiao Shujian, associate professor of our university, made a theme report to the congress by empirical method from the perspective of realizing the political functions of the grassroots Party organizations.He pointed out that the overall cognition of the organizational power of grassroots Party organizations is clear and the directionality is accurate, the overall status of political function is good and the difference is obvious, and the organizational power and political function are internally unified and significantly correlated.He analyzed the reasons for some grassroots Party members and cadres' low moral character, insufficient quality, weak ability, a small number of grassroots party organizations' low political standing, weak political consciousness, and insufficient political function, and put forward that the core to improve the political leadership and strengthen the overall leadership of the Party over the grassroots. To enhance the cohesion of the masses as the fundamental, consolidate the party's long-term governance of the masses; With the focus on enhancing ideological leadership, we will pool strong synergy for reform and development. To promote the driving force of development and lead the innovation and development of grassroots governance;The policy proposal of strengthening the base-level battle fortress with the guarantee of improving self-innovation ability.
