On the afternoon of May 25, 2024,the School of Sports Economics and Management held a “New Finance and Economics” talent training reform seminar and talent training plan demonstration meeting. Dean Professor Sun Hui presided over the meeting. Professor Hu Jianbo of Wuhan University, member of the National College Physical Education Steering Committee; Liu Tongyuan, a second-level professor at Wuhan University of Technology; Professor Chen Linxiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Standing Committee of the Kuomintang Provincial Committee, Doctor of Physical Education; Professor Zhang Chunhe, Dean of the School of Physical Education of Hubei University; Professor Peng Xiaowei, Dean of the School of Education, was invited to attend the meeting.

Dean Sun Hui pointed out in his speech that our school actively responded to and thoroughly implemented “New Finance and Economics” reform. As a first-class undergraduate major in the country, the leisure sports major needs to bring together the wisdom of the people in the reform of talent training. It is expected that the experts attending the meeting can provide valuable opinions and suggestions.

Subsequently, Wang Yufeng, director of the Department of Leisure Sports, introduced in detail the revision of the talent training program for leisure sports majors. The experts attending the meeting fully affirmed the achievements of our schoo in revising the 2024 version of the leisure sports professional talent training plan, and put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions based on relevant national standards and social development trends.
