On May 14, 2021, the Third Forum on the development of sports industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, sponsored by the sports industry branch of China Sports Science Association and undertaken by the school of physical education of Three Gorges University, was held in Three Gorges University.

117 experts and representatives from 37 universities in more than 10 provinces and cities attended the forum. Five experts from Shanghai University of physical education, Three Gorges University, Xi'an University of physical education, Hubei University of Economics, Nantong University  were invited to give a keynote speech respectively.LAN Zili, the dean and second level professor of our school, made a theme report entitled Research on the mechanism and path of the coordinated development of sports industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. He analyzed the sports related policies, added value of sports industry, and scale of sports industry, and put forward targeted countermeasures and paths.

Vice dean Sun Hui was invited to preside over a special exchange at the sub venue.
