From December 26 to 28, 2019, Gu Chen and Tao Ran were appointed to participate in the seminar on the construction of animation and digital media specialty under the background of double first-class, and Wang Zhiyun and Wang Hongfei were appointed to participate in the first-class specialty and first-class curriculum construction seminar for undergraduate design majors in Colleges and universities in China.

Under the background of double first-class animation and digital media professional construction seminar is sponsored by the National Computer Basic Education Research Association of colleges and universities, Shaanxi University of science and technology, and hosted by the digital creative professional committee of the National Computer Basic Education Research Association, the National College Computer Basic Education Research Association, the electronic sports professional committee, and the school of design and art of Shaanxi University of science and technology. Experts from animation and digital media education committee of the Ministry of education, senior experts and scholars from animation industry, and more than 160 teachers from more than 100 universities in China attended the meeting. Experts and scholars gave keynote speeches and interactive exchanges on the professional construction of animation and digital media art.

The seminar on the construction of first-class majors and first-class courses for undergraduate design majors in Colleges and universities in China is sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of design majors of the Ministry of education, and undertaken by the Teaching Guidance Committee of Yunnan Art College and Yunnan University design specialty. Nearly 300 teachers from 138 universities in China attended the seminar. In the meeting, the chairman of the design learning and Teaching Committee and more than 20 members of the Committee from universities all over the country participated in the keynote speech or exchange and discussion.

On January 2, 2020, Wang Hongfei and Tao Ran shared the spirit and experience of the meeting in the conference room of the college. After the sharing meeting, Professor Gu Chen pointed out that teachers should go out to communicate more, know the cutting-edge information of the industry, broaden their horizons, and arm themselves with the latest theories and cutting-edge professional knowledge, so as to improve our school running level and competitiveness. In short, discipline construction and specialty construction are always on the way.
